ICON®

NONINVASIVE HEMODYNAMICS
Electrical Cardiometry™

ICON®

The OSYPKA ICON® is a portable, non-invasive cardiometer designed for continuous measurement of various hemodynamic parameters in neonates, children, and adults. Here’s a detailed look at its features and specifications:

Key Features:

  • Portable Design: The ICON® is the world’s first and only hand-held, battery-operated cardiometer specifically validated and approved for premature and neonatal use. Its compact size and lightweight make it ideal for mobile use or situations with limited space.

  • High-Resolution Screen: It features a high-resolution 3.5-inch screen, providing clear and detailed display of hemodynamic parameters.

  • Battery Operation: The device can operate in battery mode for at least two hours, allowing for continuous monitoring during clinical rounds or in emergency situations.

  • Non-Invasive Monitoring: Utilizes Electrical Cardiometry™ (EC™) technology to measure changes in electrical conductivity within the thorax, providing a comprehensive assessment of the patient’s hemodynamic status without the need for invasive procedures.

Hemodynamic Parameters:

  • Blood Flow: Measures Stroke Volume (SV), Stroke Index (SI), Cardiac Output (CO), and Cardiac Index (CI).

  • Fluid Status: Assesses Thoracic Fluid Content (TFC) and Flow Time Corrected (FTc).

  • Contractility and Cardiac Function: Includes parameters such as ICON, Velocity Index (VIC), Stroke Volume Variation (SVV), and Cardiac Power Index (CPI).

  • Vascular Resistance: Calculates Systemic Vascular Resistance (SVR) and Systemic Vascular Resistance Index (SVRI) after specifying Systolic Blood Pressure (SBP), Diastolic Blood Pressure (DBP), and Central Venous Pressure (CVP).

  • Blood Pressure: Monitors Mean Arterial Pressure (MAP) when SBP and DBP are specified.

  • Oxygenation: Measures parameters like Oxygen Delivery (DO2) and Oxygen Delivery Index (DO2I) after specifying Hemoglobin (Hb) and Oxygen Saturation (SpO2).

Applications:

  • Clinical Rounds: Ideal for routine spot checks and continuous monitoring during clinical rounds.

  • Emergency Situations: Provides quick and accurate hemodynamic assessment in emergency settings.

  • Pediatrics and Neonates: Specifically validated for use in premature and neonatal patients, making it a valuable tool in pediatric care.

Additional Features:

  • User-Friendly Interface: The ICON® is designed for ease of use, with intuitive controls and a comprehensive user interface.

  • Extended Functions: When used with the iControl™ software, the ICONCore® offers extended functions and a more comprehensive user interface.

The OSYPKA ICON® is a versatile and reliable tool for non-invasive hemodynamic monitoring, providing critical insights into a patient’s cardiovascular health.
